On May 22, 2026, the three principal indices of A-shares witnessed a collective uptick at the market opening. The Shanghai Composite Index climbed by 0.46%, while the Shenzhen Component Index surged by 0.89%, and the ChiNext Index experienced a notable 1.2% increase. Leading the charge in terms of sectoral gains were computer hardware, communication equipment, and the semiconductor industry. Notably, QuantumCTek soared by over 7%, Tianyue Advanced jumped by more than 5%, and China Great Wall advanced by more than 3%. Conversely, the energy, liquor, and banking sectors experienced a downturn. ST Continental plummeted by over 5%, Jinzhongzi Liquor dipped by more than 1%, and Bank of Chengdu saw a 0.64% decline.
