Recently, Samsung Electronics and its labor union in South Korea have preliminarily arrived at a consensus regarding the performance bonus scheme for the fiscal year 2026. Under this agreement, Samsung Electronics will earmark 10.5% of its performance as a special performance bonus pool, with no cap on the amount. Specifically, employees within the Device Solutions (DS) division, which oversees the semiconductor business, are anticipated to receive a maximum performance bonus of roughly 600 million Korean won (equivalent to approximately RMB 2.723 million) this year. The average performance bonus for staff in the memory chip sector is projected to hit 600 million Korean won, while administrative personnel are also in line for an extra bonus of about 270 million Korean won each.
