Based on information from the well-known hardware insider chi11eddog, AMD is poised to roll out the Ryzen 7 7700X3D processor. This new processor is designed to offer gaming performance that's almost on par with the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, but at a more wallet-friendly price point. Constructed using the advanced Zen4 architecture and TSMC's cutting-edge 5nm manufacturing process, the Ryzen 7 7700X3D boasts 8 cores and 16 threads. It's equipped with a substantial 96MB of L3 cache, which is a combination of 32MB standard L3 cache and an additional 64MB of stacked 3D V-Cache. The processor has a base clock speed of 4.0GHz and can reach a maximum boost frequency of 4.5GHz. Its estimated Thermal Design Power (TDP) falls between 105W and 120W. While its overall performance might be around 5% less than that of the 7800X3D, the Ryzen 7 7700X3D still holds its own in gaming situations, largely thanks to its ample 3D cache. As for pricing, it's anticipated to be in the range of $299 to $349, making it an attractive and cost-effective substitute for the 7800X3D. The initial launch is scheduled for select markets, with a subsequent global rollout planned.
