The ChiNext Index briefly dropped by more than 1%, but the decline eased as the market approached the close, and the Shanghai Composite Index finished almost unchanged. At the end of the trading session, the Shanghai Composite Index dipped by 0.09%, the Shenzhen Component Index decreased by 0.20%, and the ChiNext Index lost 0.36%. Trading volume on the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges surpassed 2.8 trillion yuan, with over 2,700 stocks ending in the red. In terms of market performance, sub-sectors within the semiconductor industry excelled, with the memory chip sector taking the lead in gains. AI applications, power grid equipment, and other related sectors also featured prominently among the top performers. The three major telecom operators staged a late-day rally, while sectors such as non-ferrous metals, aquaculture, and innovative drugs were among the notable decliners.
