FiberHome has recently achieved a significant milestone by successfully developing and initiating mass production of a 13,824-core ultra-high-density optical fiber cable. This cutting-edge cable is specifically designed to cater to the demands of ultra-large-scale Artificial Intelligence and Data Center (AIDC) constructions, effectively addressing the inter-building interconnection requirements of computing clusters comprising over 100,000 cards.
Notably, this cable sets a new domestic benchmark as the first optical fiber cable in the 10,000-core category and boasts the highest fiber count in the industry. It is poised to make its debut at the upcoming Wuhan Optics Expo, showcasing FiberHome's technological prowess.
The cable's design is characterized by its modularity and precision, featuring an outer diameter of merely 40mm and an impressive fiber core density of 11 cores per square millimeter. A single cable of this type can replace up to 48 conventional optical cables, resulting in a remarkable saving of over 90% in pipeline resources. This innovation not only significantly boosts the wiring efficiency within computing centers but also substantially reduces operational and maintenance costs.
