The Seoul High Court dismissed Broadcom's appeal, upholding the decision of the Korea Fair Trade Commission, which found Broadcom guilty of misconduct in its dealings with Samsung Electronics. In September 2023, the commission stated that Broadcom had abused its market dominance by threatening to withhold component supplies to coerce Samsung into signing long-term contracts, thereby restricting Samsung's choice of components and causing losses of at least $160 million. The commission also ordered Broadcom to make corrections and imposed a fine of 18.6 billion won.
