On April 29, Lyu Han-joo, the Minister for Trade Negotiations from South Korea's Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, held a meeting with Ahmed Al-Sayed, Qatar's Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs, in Seoul. During the meeting, both sides shared their insights on how to further enhance investment collaboration in cutting-edge sectors, including semiconductors and biotechnology. They agreed to foster strategic investment partnerships by leveraging South Korea's advanced manufacturing prowess alongside Qatar's abundant capital resources. Furthermore, they delved into potential cooperation opportunities in burgeoning fields such as AI-powered manufacturing transformation and robotics. Additionally, the discussion encompassed plans for investment collaboration between South Korean biotech firms, AI chip manufacturers, and their Qatari counterparts.
