On April 28, Xiamen GMP Electronic Co., Ltd. (Stock Code: 300632, Stock Abbreviation: GMP Photonic Technology Inc.) made an announcement revealing its plan to ink a Cooperation Agreement with Shanghai Sager Photonics Technology Co., Ltd. This partnership aims to collaboratively develop optical engine products tailored for optical communication modules and to jointly invest in setting up a joint venture.

The proposed joint venture will boast a registered capital of RMB 50 million. GMP Photonic Technology Inc. is set to contribute RMB 37.5 million, securing a 75% stake, while Sager Photonics will invest RMB 12.5 million, holding a 25% stake.

The primary focus of the joint venture will be on the research and development, production, and sales of state-of-the-art optical communication technologies and pivotal products. These include optical engine products, in-vehicle optical communication modules, inter-satellite optical communication modules, OCS, OIO, as well as the international provision of PIC chip packaging, testing, and sales services.
