On April 24, Guo Mingji, an analyst at TF International Securities, pointed out that Tesla's choice to utilize Intel's 14A process technology for its Terafab super chip factory was a decision born out of necessity. This is because TSMC and Samsung, two other leading semiconductor manufacturers, had already reached their maximum production capacities due to a surge in orders from other clients. During the earnings call, Tesla CEO Elon Musk acknowledged that while the 14A process technology is not yet fully refined, it is anticipated to reach maturity concurrent with the project's production capacity expansion, thereby making it a suitable and strategic choice for Tesla.
