On April 22, news emerged that Yongding Co., Ltd., in its investor relations activity record, revealed a significant uptick in its optical communication business. This surge is attributed to the burgeoning demand for digital economy infrastructure and AI computing power, which has consequently driven up both the sales volume and pricing of its fiber optic products. Its subsidiary, Dingxin Optoelectronics, has embraced the Integrated Device Manufacturer (IDM) model, establishing a comprehensive compound semiconductor process production line that spans the entire spectrum from chip design to packaging and testing.
Fueled by the ongoing construction of global AI computing power centers, the supply-demand imbalance for high-power chips, notably the 100G EML and silicon photonics 100mW/70mW CWHP chips that are currently in the spotlight, has intensified. Yongding Co., Ltd. is now poised for mass production of these chips and is actively engaging in collaborations with leading optical module manufacturers, both within China and on the international stage. In response to the burgeoning market demand, the company has officially kicked off an expansion plan.
