As the globe's preeminent and most technologically sophisticated wafer foundry, TSMC has witnessed a substantial surge in performance, propelled by the meteoric rise of AI technology. In April of this year, TSMC unveiled its annual salary adjustment scheme, with average hikes spanning from 3% to 5%. The precise adjustment is contingent upon employee performance appraisals, annual remuneration, and job grades. For instance, engineers at grades 31 to 34 who garner an S rating will be granted a 5% raise, whereas those attaining an S+ rating will enjoy a 7% increment. Moreover, TSMC intends to allocate NT$206.145 billion in bonuses in 2025, translating to an average bonus of roughly NT$2.6428 million per staff member. Presently, the average yearly salary for employees has soared to NT$4.093 million, marking a year-on-year escalation of 22%. In light of the explosive performance growth in the first quarter of this year, it is anticipated that the annual salaries of employees will generally surpass NT$1 million, and with bonuses factored in, attaining an annual income of NT$2 million will pose no great challenge.
