The world's most critical chip-manufacturing equipment—the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography machine—is exclusively produced by the Dutch company ASML. These machines are the core tools for manufacturing chips used in phones, computers, and data centers, with only a few hundred in existence globally. However, ASML offers a product even harder to obtain than the EUV lithography machine itself—a Lego replica of the EUV lithography machine. This collectible set is only available for purchase by ASML employees, with a limit of one set per person. The real EUV lithography machine has over 100,000 components and can cost up to $400 million; in contrast, the Lego replica has fewer than 1,000 pieces and is priced at just around $200.
