Sunrise, a Chinese enterprise specializing in full-stack, independently developed AI inference GPUs, has announced the successful completion of its latest funding round, raising over 1 billion RMB. Remarkably, just over a year after its establishment as an independent entity, Sunrise has successfully navigated seven funding rounds, amassing a total of approximately 4 billion RMB. This achievement positions Sunrise as China's inaugural pure inference GPU unicorn, boasting a valuation surpassing 10 billion RMB. The newly acquired funds will be strategically allocated towards the mass production and delivery of its next-generation S3 inference GPU, the development of a comprehensive full-stack software ecosystem, and the ongoing research and development efforts for its upcoming S4 and S5 chips.
