As per reports from South Korean media outlets, the combined production capacity of the world's top three DRAM memory producers—Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron—is projected to surge to 18 million wafers by 2026. This marks an approximate annual growth rate of 5%. Notably, SK Hynix has witnessed a substantial uptick in its production volume. Its Cheongju M15X facility initiated mass production of High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) in February and is set to elevate its monthly production capacity to a range of 55,000 to 60,000 wafers by the year's end. In contrast, Samsung and Micron are not anticipated to unveil their new production capacities until the period spanning 2027 to 2028.
