Recently, a research team helmed by Assistant Professor Zhao Qiancheng from the Shenzhen-Hong Kong College of Microelectronics at the Southern University of Science and Technology, in collaboration with other researchers, has attained a notable breakthrough in the realm of tantalum pentoxide (Ta2O5)-based integrated nonlinear photonics. The pertinent research results have been featured in the esteemed international optics journal, ACS Photonics (as a cover article), and presented at the 2025 IEEE International Photonics Conference (IPC 2025). In both instances, the Southern University of Science and Technology is credited as the primary and corresponding institution.
