On April 16, the Hong Kong stock market performed strongly, with the Hang Seng Index closing up 1.72% and the Hang Seng TECH Index rising 3.67%. Among them, Baidu Group surged over 7%, while Alibaba, BYD Company, Innoscience, and NetEase rose over 5%, and NIO increased over 2%. The automotive, semiconductor, and software services sectors led the gains, while the building materials and paper sectors were among the biggest decliners. Net purchases by southbound funds amounted to HKD 4.291 billion.
