In recent developments, prominent high-end Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) suppliers such as Taiconn, Iteq, and EMC have been in active discussions with their clientele regarding impending price adjustments. Specifically, Iteq has informed its customers that, owing to escalating costs of essential raw materials—namely copper foil, glass cloth, and epoxy resin—alongside heightened processing fees and the repercussions of certain suppliers discontinuing specific products, there will be a price hike for CCL offerings. This increase is set to take effect from April 25, with some product lines experiencing a surge of 20% to 40%. Concurrently, Taiconn has declared its intention to elevate prices for high-end materials by roughly 10% starting from the second quarter, with a primary focus on premium applications such as AI servers and switches. Furthermore, EMC is anticipated to implement a similar price rise of approximately 10% in April.
