Last week, Intel unveiled its involvement in Musk's ambitious mega-chip venture, Terafab. In this partnership, Intel will oversee chip design, production, packaging, and various other facets, aiming to assist Terafab in reaching its objective of an annual computing power output of one terawatt. This alliance is widely regarded as mutually beneficial: Terafab gains access to Intel's extensive know-how and experience in chip fabrication, while Intel's foundry business secures a new customer. Nevertheless, considering that TSMC and Samsung Electronics boast more advanced technologies, the fact that Intel ultimately succeeded in winning Musk's endorsement has prompted industry-wide reflection.
