Recently, a user unveiled a clever modification for an RTX 4060 half-height graphics card. By employing a PCIe riser card, available for approximately 184 RMB, they were able to transform the half-height graphics card into a full-height variant, while also integrating two M.2 SSD slots. This riser card boasts a PCIe x16 interface, which is ingeniously divided into an x8x4x4 configuration. In this setup, the x8 lane is dedicated to the graphics card, while the two x4 lanes are connected to M.2 SSDs.

After installing Western Digital SSDs and an Intel OEM hard drive, the user successfully achieved a seamless integration of graphics card form factor conversion and storage expansion. Moreover, the user took it a step further by connecting an RTX 3060 graphics card to one of the M.2 slots using an additional adapter. Leveraging Lossless Scaling software, they enabled dual-card collaboration for image scaling and frame generation, enhancing the overall graphical performance.

However, it's important to note that this solution hinges on the motherboard's compatibility with PCIe lane splitting. Not all motherboards may support the x8x4x4 configuration, so users should verify their motherboard's specifications before attempting this modification.
