NVIDIA has undertaken a notable redesign of its forthcoming data center GPU, the Rubin Ultra, opting to switch from the initially proposed quad-chip setup to a dual-chip configuration. This strategic move aims to streamline the supply chain and mitigate manufacturing risks. Notwithstanding the alteration in the packaging architecture, Rubin Ultra's HBM4 memory capacity and computational prowess will remain intact, while concurrently accelerating the supply chain's adaptability timeline.
