On March 24, 2026, during the Xuantie RISC-V Ecosystem Conference held in Shanghai, Alibaba's Damo Academy introduced its latest flagship CPU, the Xuantie C950. Built on the open-source RISC-V architecture, this CPU boasts a single-core general-purpose performance score surpassing 70 on the Specint2006 benchmark, setting a new global benchmark for RISC-V performance. Compared to its predecessor, the Xuantie C920, the C950 delivers over threefold improvement in overall performance and more than quadruples the memory bandwidth. Designed for applications in cloud computing, generative AI, advanced robotics, and edge computing, the Xuantie C950 stands out as the first CPU to natively support large models with hundreds of billions of parameters, positioning it as a premier high-end CPU for the AI Agent era.
