At the 2026 GTC Conference, NVIDIA introduced the Vera Rubin platform, which integrates the Rubin GPU, Vera CPU, and a cutting-edge LPU chip. Notably, the Vera CPU stands out as the world’s first processor tailored specifically for AI agents and reinforcement learning. Boasting 88 custom Arm architecture cores, it achieves double the efficiency and 50% faster processing speeds compared to traditional CPUs. Additionally, it supports LPDDR5 memory with bandwidth reaching up to 1.2TB/s while halving power consumption. The CPU has now entered full-scale production and is slated for delivery to first-wave customers, including Microsoft, in the latter half of 2026. This marks NVIDIA’s formal foray into the standalone CPU market.
