On March 19, market research firm TrendForce released a report stating that in 2026, driven by continued investments in AI by North American cloud service providers (CSPs) and AI startups, demand for AI-related main chips and peripheral ICs is expected to sustain the growth of the global foundry industry, with annual revenue projected to increase by 24.8% year-on-year to approximately US$218.8 billion. Among them, TSMC is expected to see the largest revenue growth, estimated at 32%.
