According to a research report from CSCIB, propelled by the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), the global Printed Circuit Board (PCB) industry is embarking on a fresh phase of growth. Cloud service providers are persistently ramping up their capital investments, fueling the procurement of AI servers, storage systems, and networking gear. These technologies, subsequently, are driving a surge in demand for PCBs used in motherboards, switchboards, memory cards, and power distribution boards.
In traditional consumer electronics, PCB expenses typically constitute 5% to 8% of the overall cost. CSCIB's conservative projections indicate that the PCB market associated with GPU and ASIC servers will surpass RMB 40 billion by 2025. By 2026, this figure is expected to exceed RMB 90 billion, marking a doubling in growth rate. CSCIB maintains that the PCB industry is currently in the midst of a robust growth cycle, with benefits accruing across the entire supply chain. Nevertheless, it remains crucial to keep a vigilant eye on alterations in server and high-speed switch designs by end-product manufacturers, as well as the consequent adjustments in PCB value.
