Recently, the research team spearheaded by Professor Wang Qilong and Professor Bai Ningfeng, both from the School of Electronic Science and Engineering at Southeast University, published a research paper in the esteemed journal Photonics Research. The paper, titled "Multi-Polarization Control via Symmetry Breaking in BIC-Based THz Metamaterial," introduces an innovative symmetry control strategy rooted in the concept of Bound States in the Continuum (BIC). This strategy has successfully enabled high-performance, integrated control over multiple polarization states on a single-layer, all-dielectric terahertz metamaterial platform. This significant breakthrough not only offers fresh perspectives for terahertz wave control technology but also holds promise for propelling advancements in terahertz communication, imaging, and sensing applications.
