The Geekbench benchmark scores for Apple's latest high-end chip, the M5 Max, have been revealed. The data shows that the M5 Max, featuring an 18-core CPU, achieved a multi-core score of 29,233, surpassing the 32-core M3 Ultra (27,726 points) and becoming the most powerful Apple Silicon chip to date. Its single-core score of 4,268 also outperforms the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D. In the Metal graphics test, the 40-core GPU version of the M5 Max scored between 218,772 and 232,718 points, representing a 20% improvement over the M4 Max. While slightly lower than the M3 Ultra, it rivals mid-range to high-end dedicated graphics cards.
