Following the launch of the Core Ultra 300 and Xeon 6+ series processors, Intel's 18A process has made remarkable strides, achieving performance levels that rival or even marginally outperform TSMC's 3nm process. Presently, the 18A process is predominantly utilized for Intel's in-house products. CEO Lip-Bu Tan has indicated that, as of now, there are no external customers for this process. However, the company has plans to extend foundry services to external clients once the 14A process is prepared and deemed ready for commercial use.
