On March 3, at the close of trading, all three major U.S. stock indices finished in the red. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slipped by 0.83%, the Nasdaq Composite Index tumbled 1.02%, and the S&P 500 Index dipped 0.94%. The performance among large-cap tech stocks was a mixed bag. Microsoft bucked the trend, climbing over 1%. Netflix, Meta, and Amazon also managed to post slight gains. However, Intel took a significant hit, plunging over 5%. Tesla wasn't far behind, dropping more than 2%. Nvidia saw a decline of over 1%, while Apple and Google experienced minor setbacks with slight decreases. As for popular Chinese American Depositary Receipts (ADRs), the overall trend was downward. XPeng took a substantial dive, falling over 6%. Alibaba wasn't spared either, declining more than 4%. Baidu and Miniso also saw their shares decline, dropping over 3%. Li Auto, Nio, JD.com, and Pinduoduo all witnessed a fall of over 2%.
