NVIDIA's Chief Financial Officer expressed uncertainty regarding the growth capacity of the company's gaming business segment amid a memory shortage. Despite record-breaking financial results reported in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, doubts persist about whether the gaming business can achieve year-on-year growth in the next fiscal year, as the company shifts its focus towards artificial intelligence and data center businesses. During an investor conference call, CFO Colette Kress pointed out that memory supply will remain tight in the coming quarters, and it is premature to judge growth prospects at this point, with reassessment expected after conditions improve by the end of the year. Additionally, due to the memory shortage, NVIDIA will not release new graphics cards this year and plans to cut production of RTX 50 series graphics cards.
