On March 2, OuJing Technology made an announcement stating that in February 2024, it entered into a high-purity quartz sand procurement agreement with Sibelco North America, initially estimated at a total value of US$350 million. Recently, the two parties reached a consensus and signed an amendment to the original agreement. This amendment revises the estimated total amount of the procurement agreement down to US$270 million and extends the performance period by one year. The primary rationale behind this amendment is to address the phased adjustments necessitated by supply and demand mismatches within the photovoltaic industry. Through mutual consultation, certain terms of the original agreement have been modified accordingly. The signing of this amended agreement acts as a supplementary measure to the original one, ensuring alignment with industry cycles and catering to the company's operational requirements. However, it is important to note that uncertainties persist regarding the performance of the agreement and subsequent procurement activities. These uncertainties may potentially influence the company's future operating performance.
