According to the latest report from TrendForce, in the fourth quarter of 2025, the DRAM industry witnessed a significant revenue surge, with a 29.4% quarter-on-quarter increase, reaching a staggering US$53.58 billion. When it comes to average selling prices, the contract prices for general DRAM experienced a substantial rise of 45-50%. Meanwhile, considering HBM (High Bandwidth Memory) as well, the overall contract prices jumped by 50-55%. This indicates that the contract prices for all DRAM products are accelerating their upward trajectory.
Looking ahead to the first quarter of 2026, consumer applications are set to enter a low-demand period. As a result, the growth in shipments from original manufacturers is expected to slow down. Nevertheless, the strong procurement intentions from Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) are projected to fuel another substantial acceleration in contract price increases for the majority of products. Specifically, the contract prices for general DRAM are anticipated to climb by 90-95%, and the overall contract prices, including HBM, are expected to rise by 80-85%.
