Intel has formed a strategic partnership with artificial intelligence chip startup SambaNova Systems and participated in its latest funding round of US$350 million. Over the next few years, SambaNova will adopt Intel's server processors and graphics card products, and the two sides will also jointly promote the implementation of solutions in sales and marketing. Intel had already invested in the company as early as 2019 and has further increased its investment this time. Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan has served as the chairman of SambaNova since 2017 and participated in early-stage investments. An Intel spokesperson stated that Lip-Bu Tan has proactively recused himself from relevant decision-making in the discussion of this cooperation.
