On February 14 (local time), just three days shy of his 63rd birthday, Jensen Huang, the CEO of NVIDIA, treated 30 core engineers from SK Hynix to a dinner at the 99 Chicken fried chicken restaurant, conveniently located near NVIDIA's headquarters in Santa Clara, California. These engineers were handpicked for their pivotal roles in the R&D and production of DRAM and HBM4. During the convivial dinner, Huang took it upon himself to play the gracious host, personally mixing and serving soju-beer cocktails to the engineers. He took the opportunity to encourage them to guarantee a seamless supply of the highest-performance HBM4. It's worth noting that SK Hynix had previously encountered technical difficulties, leading to delays in HBM4 shipments. This had prompted NVIDIA to urge Samsung to expedite its supply. This dinner served as a poignant reminder of the critical role HBM4 plays for NVIDIA, as well as Huang's unwavering commitment to ensuring supply chain stability.
