On February 23, foreign media reported that researchers at ASML (ASML.O) have discovered a method to enhance the light source power of critical chip manufacturing equipment, projecting a potential increase in chip production by up to 50% by the end of this decade. ASML is the world's sole commercial producer of extreme ultraviolet lithography (EUV) equipment, which is essential for companies like TSMC and Intel to produce advanced computing chips. Michael Purvis, ASML's Chief Technology Expert for Extreme Ultraviolet Lithography, stated that the system can stably output 1000 watts of power under actual customer usage conditions, rather than being a short-term demonstration gimmick.
