In a report, Ryu Hyung-keun, an analyst at Daishin Securities, projected that SK Hynix is on track to achieve a new profit peak in 2026. He predicted that the operating profit of the South Korean memory chip manufacturer will soar nearly fourfold this year, reaching 174 trillion won (approximately US$120.4 billion), a significant increase from the prior estimate of 142 trillion won. Ryu highlighted that by 2026, the average selling prices for SK Hynix's two primary memory chip types—commodity DRAM and NAND—are expected to surge by 159% and 91%, respectively. Furthermore, he mentioned that by the close of 2026, the company is well-positioned to maintain its status as the world's foremost supplier of high-bandwidth memory (HBM), a premium sector within the DRAM market.
