On February 18, Infineon CEO Jochen Hanebeck stated that the German semiconductor manufacturer is well-prepared to benefit from the future growth of the microchip market for humanoid robots. He mentioned that this could develop into a growth market similar to the current high-performance semiconductor market for AI data centers. Additionally, Infineon is already capable of producing large quantities of microchips for humanoid robots, partly due to its business in the autonomous driving sector and its limited need for new in-house technology development.
