On February 17, the Netherlands Investment Agency, a prominent state-owned financial entity in the Netherlands, made public that it had entered into a $60 million term loan pact with Nexperia Netherlands. This move is designed to bolster Nexperia's global capacity expansion plans slated for 2026. The allocated funds will be channeled towards capital investments across Nexperia's diverse global production sites. The overarching goal is to ramp up production volumes, modernize production facilities, and elevate operational efficiency, thereby fortifying the Netherlands' foothold within the international semiconductor landscape. It's noteworthy that Nexperia operates as a fully-owned subsidiary of China's Wingtech Technology, yet it maintains its headquarters in the Netherlands. Since late September 2025, the Dutch government has exercised mandatory control over the company.
