Samsung Electronics has reportedly furnished Qualcomm with samples of its cutting-edge LPDDR6X memory, a component that could find its way into Qualcomm's AI250 inference solution by 2027. Notably, the standardization of LPDDR6 by JEDEC was finalized merely six months ago, and the LPDDR6 ecosystem is still in its nascent stages of development. Consequently, it is anticipated that mobile products incorporating LPDDR6 support will not hit the market until the latter half of this year. However, the pace at which the LPDDR6X specification is being adopted in end-user devices is poised to set a new benchmark. The LPDDR6 memory already boasts a remarkable speed of 14,400Gbps, and LPDDR6X is expected to push the envelope even further by enhancing transmission bandwidth.
