Taiwan's chipmaker TSMC announced on Thursday that it will produce some of the world's top semiconductors in Japan to meet the explosive growth in demand related to artificial intelligence and help Japan achieve its chip manufacturing goals. As a core chip supplier for companies like Nvidia and Apple, TSMC plans to produce 3-nanometer chips at its second plant in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan. These chips are widely used in AI products, smartphones, and other fields. Currently, the plant is still under construction.
