On February 5, Counterpoint Research forecasted that memory prices would experience an 80% to 90% quarter-over-quarter surge in the first quarter of 2026, marking a historic peak. This dramatic increase is mainly attributable to a significant spike in DRAM prices for general-purpose servers. Additionally, NAND flash memory prices, which maintained relative stability in the fourth quarter, are also anticipated to climb by 80% to 90% during the first quarter. When combined with the price escalations for certain HBM3e products, the entire memory market is exhibiting a broad-based upward trajectory.
