In the realm of memory semiconductor market, the average monthly prices for both DRAM and NAND flash memory have been on a relentless upward trajectory. The cost of mainstream DDR4 products has catapulted beyond $11, hitting an unprecedented peak and ascending for ten straight months. This surge is predominantly attributed to a confluence of supply constraints and a burgeoning demand for AI, which has prompted manufacturers to prioritize the production of server DRAM. Meanwhile, NAND prices have experienced a meteoric rise, soaring by over 60% within a single month and marking a remarkable thirteen-month streak of increases. This is largely due to a strategic shift in production capacity towards high-value-added products. Furthermore, the price differential between DDR5 and DDR4 has become even more pronounced. Forecasts indicate that contract prices for PC DRAM are poised to skyrocket by 105%-110% in the first quarter. Given that suppliers currently wield significant pricing power, it is expected that these elevated prices will continue to prevail in the market.
