According to the Silicon Industry Branch of the China Non-ferrous Metals Industry Association, drawing on data from Antaike, this week witnessed a notable absence of transactions for mainstream polysilicon products, with the market exhibiting a pronounced wait-and-see attitude. Just a handful of individual companies managed to secure minor, exploratory orders, indicating a near-standstill in the volume of new contracts. Although some firms have adjusted their quotations downward, downstream purchasing activity remains sluggish, with a predominant focus on inventory reduction and a continued cautious stance. The easing of quotations has not prompted companies to replenish their stocks, thus rendering it challenging for price adjustments to stimulate transactions.
