On January 27th, ACE Semiconductor announced a price increase. The company explained that the entire chip industry is currently facing a supply shortage. This, coupled with escalating costs, prolonged delivery times for packaged finished goods, and ongoing rises in framework, packaging, and testing expenses, has led to a substantial surge in overall costs. In light of the acute supply-demand imbalance and mounting cost pressures, ACE Semiconductor has opted to immediately implement price hikes for products such as MCUs (Microcontroller Units) and Norflash. The price increases will range from 15% to 50%.
