During the midday trading break on January 27, 2026, the three major indices of A-shares exhibited a mixed performance. The Shanghai Composite Index eked out a marginal gain of 0.03%, while the Shenzhen Component Index dipped by 0.37%. In contrast, the ChiNext Index surged ahead with a 0.44% increase. Analyzing the sectoral performance, semiconductors, insurance, and precious metals emerged as the frontrunners. Dosilicon soared to its daily limit, China Life Insurance witnessed a robust rise of over 4%, and Western Minerals climbed more than 3%. On the flip side, diversified finance, food, and retail sectors experienced a downturn. Yuexiu Capital plummeted by over 8%, while Haoxiangni and Yaoyigou both declined by more than 5%.
