Recently, the graphics card market has seen a surge in fraudulent activities. A Reddit user, going by the handle Dazzling_Course8755, bought an MSI RTX 5090 SUPRIM graphics card on Amazon. To their dismay, upon opening the package, they discovered it contained nothing more than a stone wrapped in a bath towel. Shockingly, this marked the fourth time the user had fallen victim to such scams. The package's seal was conspicuously loose, and a return label was affixed, hinting that someone might have purchased the graphics card, swapped it with a stone, and then returned it. It appears that Amazon failed to carry out a thorough inspection in this case. Given the substantial size and hefty weight of the RTX 5090 graphics card, scammers have resorted to stuffing the package with heavy objects to match the expected logistics weight, thereby sidestepping basic verification checks.
