On January 23 (local time), a regulatory disclosure document submitted by NVIDIA to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission disclosed that Persis Drell, a professor in both the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the Department of Physics at Stanford University, will step down from her roles as a member of the company's board of directors as well as the board's compensation committee, effective January 20, 2026. NVIDIA clarified that Drell's decision stems from her pursuit of new career opportunities and that there are no disputes regarding the company's operations, policies, or practices. Drell has been a member of NVIDIA's board of directors since 2015. Currently, the board comprises 10 members, including CEO Jensen Huang.
