On January 21, Peking University and Legend Holdings Corporation jointly established the "Peking University-Legend Holdings Joint Laboratory for Advanced Photonic Integrated Technology". The laboratory will leverage Peking University's research foundation in photonic device design, heterogeneous integration processes, and optoelectronic communication systems, combined with Legend Holdings' technological vision and industrial resources in the information infrastructure sector. It will focus on staged and open joint exploration in areas such as photonic integration process exploration, low-power optical engine prototype verification, and optical interconnect application research for intelligent computing centers. The establishment of the joint laboratory marks the transition of their cooperation from "project-driven" to "platform co-construction", representing a pragmatic exploration in implementing "organized research" and serving the national strategies of "Digital China" and "AI+".
