On January 22, Jensen Huang, the CEO of NVIDIA, confirmed during a podcast interview that NVIDIA has surpassed Apple to become TSMC's largest customer. Industry experts estimate that NVIDIA now contributes approximately 13% of TSMC's total revenue, securing the top position. Historically, Apple held a dominant presence in TSMC's customer base, largely due to its extensive use of TSMC's manufacturing capabilities for iPhone and iPad processors. Nevertheless, the recent boom in demand for AI chips, coupled with NVIDIA's strategic pivot in its business focus, has prompted TSMC to recalibrate its business priorities accordingly.
