The Shanghai Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China has unveiled its recommendations for formulating Shanghai's 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development. The plan explicitly highlights that Shanghai will concentrate on six pivotal domains: future manufacturing, future information technology, future materials science, future energy solutions, future space exploration, and future healthcare. Additionally, it will enhance agile strategic deployment in groundbreaking fields such as quantum technology, brain-computer interfaces, controlled nuclear fusion, biomanufacturing, and sixth-generation (6G) mobile communications, with the aim of expediting the nurturing and growth of these innovative sectors.
