In 2025, AMD unveiled its RDNA 4 series of graphics cards, with the RX 9070 XT emerging as a standout performer. Data from Mindfactory, a prominent German retailer, revealed that during the 47th week of 2025, sales of the RX 9070 XT soared to 925 units, outstripping the combined sales of NVIDIA's entire RTX 50 series. Meanwhile, AMD's other offering, the RX 9060 XT, also fared well, with 515 units sold. Together, the sales of these two graphics cards eclipsed the total sales of all NVIDIA and Intel graphics cards combined. Recently, there have been indications that AMD is progressively scaling back the production of the RX 9070 non-XT variant, opting to channel its resources towards bolstering the RX 9070 XT. This strategic move stems from the fact that both variants incur similar memory costs, yet the RX 9070 XT commands a higher selling price, thereby yielding greater profitability.
